Distance MA ENGLISH

Master of Arts in English

The MA English program is tailored for learners who aim to critically engage with literary works from a variety of contexts, including social, political, economic, historical, and national perspectives. This program recognizes students as subjects aware of their own socio-historical specificities, thereby enhancing their critical thinking skills. Through rigorous theoretical grounding, students will master the art of reading and analyzing texts. They will develop the capability to interpret and explore relationships from diverse viewpoints, enriching their understanding and appreciation of different perspectives.

Program Objective

Facilitate understanding related to various streams of literary trends and linguistics.
Development of better expressive skills leading to self-development as literary personnel
Capacity to discern the literary trends across continents so as to inculcate pertinent “global” mental makeup
Exploring better prospects for higher education in the chosen literature by contributing to it as a teacher, researcher, or writer.

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree of a minimum duration of 3 years from a recognized University in any stream with at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
